Moshe Sheier serves as our Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Sheier brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor IP and chip industry in both development and managerial roles. Prior to this position, Mr. Sheier was the Director of Product Marketing at CEVA and before that he has managed Xilinx Inc. partner program in EMEA. Before joining CEVA, he was with the DSP Group since 1993, holding different engineering and R&D management positions, including the VLSI Department Manager. Mr. Sheier holds several US patents in the area of DSP architectures, a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A.
Franz has more than 15 years of experience in the semiconductor IP area, specifically in the connectivity markets. He co-founded RivieraWaves in 2010 and lead the sales and marketing activities. In 4 years, he grew the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi IP business from zero to $4M. Before joining RivieraWaves, Franz has been the Product Marketing Manager at Wipro-NewLogic during 4 years, in charge of the Bluetooth IP portfolio. From 1999 to 2005, Franz held several positions of project leader, customer support manager, team leader and hardware design engineer at VLSI Technology, Philips Semiconductor, NewLogic and PLDA.
Jeff is the Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision Marketing at CEVA. Jeff is utilizing his fifteen years of experience in semiconductor sales and marketing to expand CEVA’s Artificial Intelligence and computer vision product lines. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University.
Youval Nachum serves as CEVA’s Senior Product Marketing Manager for audio and voice product line. Youval brings over 20 years of multi-disciplinary experience, spanning marketing, system architecture, ASIC, and software domains at leading technology companies. He is passionate about anticipating long term trends and leading technical programs to their successful completion. Highly proficient in combining market requirements, product definitions, industry standards and design innovations into breakthrough products. Youval holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Konstantin Merkher serves as Director of Sound Technologies at CEVA. In this role he manages the Sound Technologies department in CEVA developing various Audio and Speech Encoding/Decoding/Pre-Post-Processing algorithms on CEVA cores. Konstantin joined CEVA in 2003 as a senior DSP engineer, in 2005 he became Voice team manager dealing with Speech processing, and in 2007 he became the Audio and Voice SW department manager, responsible to all CEVA Audio and Voice processing Software development and all Audio and Voice related customer support and pre-sale activities. Prior to joining CEVA he worked for Surf Communication Solutions Ltd., holding positions of DSP SW engineer and Project Manager. Konstantin holds B.Eng. Honors from the Computer Engineering faculty, Coventry University of UK.
Nir Shapira is a Business Development Director in CEVA Mobile Broadband BU. Nir has been in the communication industry for more than 25 years. Prior to joining CEVA, Nir was the CTO at Wiliot, doing batteryless Bluetooth, and the CTO of Celeno Communications from its inception, doing carrier grade WiFi. Nir has made significant contributions to standardizations, notably 802.11, and has dozens of patents in the field of communications. Nir holds a B.Sc. (summa cum laude) from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, in both Electrical Engineering and Physics, and an MBA from the Tel Aviv University.
For the last six years, Ben has been employed by CEVA as a computer vision developer and team leader. Ben relocated to the US last year, and is now working as CEVA’s computer vision expert in the Bay Area. Ben specializes in porting and accelerating vision algorithms over embedded devices, and has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the embedded vision markets.
Charles Pao started at Hillcrest Labs after graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering. He started work in software development, creating a black box system for evaluating motion characteristics. With a passion for media and communications, Charles started producing demo and product videos for Hillcrest Labs. This passion led to an official position transfer into Marketing. Currently, he is Hillcrest’s first point of contact for information and support and manages their marketing efforts. He’s also held various account and project management roles. Charles also earned Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Has good experience in porting and optimizing CNN kernels on embedded platforms with DSP as an accelerator as well as developing applications based on Deep Learning. Involved in optimizing both high level and intermediate level code for DSPs. Has designed, customized, and trained CNN models to achieve a smaller footprint (memory & compute) for high-quality Object Detection, Classification, Regression, and Recognition for use-cases around ADAS. Has experience in building, profiling, and optimizing end-to-end CNN application pipeline on DSPs and CPUs.
